Proposed concept for festivals

Nada Kari × Festivals

Immersive binaural sound experience

An intimate, headphone-based sound journey — live instruments, original music and binaural audio — for healing fields and wellbeing areas.

The concept

A sound bath you don't simply hear. You enter it.

Each participant wears headphones and hears the instruments from the centre of them. Part sound bath, part live performance, part immersive audio installation.

The experience

From the field to inside the sound.

  1. Arrive

A small group steps into a dim tipi or healing tent.

  2. Settle

Mats, cushions, headphones on. A short guided breath.

  3. The journey

30–45 minutes of live bowls, handpan, forks and original music, in 3D.

  4. Return

Silence, then back into the festival.

Headphones on — tap an instrument to hear which side it sits. A simple stereo preview; the real sessions are captured binaurally.

The technology

The KU-100.

A life-size head with a microphone in each ear. It hears the way you hear.

  • Direction and distance — a bowl to your left, a fork by your ear.
  • Best seat for everyone, wherever they lie.
  • Headphones help keep festival noise out.

The instruments

Acoustic, live and close.

  • Crystal singing bowls
  • Handpan
  • Tuning forks
  • Chimes
  • Frame drum
  • Other acoustic instruments

Original music

Composed, not borrowed.

Original ambient music, woven into the live journey.

Why festivals

Somewhere to land.

Festivals are loud and brilliant. People look for stillness in the middle of it — headphones make that possible even on a busy site.

Small groups keep it personal. Short sessions let many take part. And for most people, it's a new way to listen.
