The founder
John Paul
Sound practitioner and producer. A decade of composing and a career in NHS care shape every session.
"Every session has a score — beginning, peak, resolution. The same precision we bring to a record, brought to an hour of your body."
- Composed, not improvised — a beginning, a peak, a quiet return.
- Recorded with reverence — on headphones, the room comes to you.
- Held with care — shaped by years of NHS care work.

Questions
Good to know.
What is an immersive binaural sound bath?
A sound bath you listen to through headphones. Live instruments and original music are captured with a Neumann KU-100 binaural microphone, so you hear them in three dimensions — placed around you, near and far — rather than from across the room.
Do I need any experience?
None at all. You don't need to meditate, believe in anything, or do anything — just lie down, close your eyes and listen. Some people drift off to sleep, and that's welcome too.
What should I wear or bring?
Loose, warm, comfortable clothing and some water. Mats, blankets and bolsters are provided. Arrive about ten minutes early so you have time to settle.
Is it suitable if I'm pregnant or have a health condition?
Please tell us before booking if you are pregnant, have epilepsy or a seizure condition, a heart condition or pacemaker, have had recent surgery, or have a condition affecting your hearing. Sound baths are generally not recommended in the first trimester. Nada Kari is a complementary wellbeing practice and doesn't replace medical care.
Where are sessions held?
Nada Kari is based in Liverpool. Private sessions can come to you anywhere in the UK, including your home, and group sound baths are held at partner venues and festivals.
